Anna and the French Kiss

Anna is a senior in high school who has been sent to the School of America in Paris (SOAP). She feels abandoned by her father and mother, who have stayed in the United States while she attended boarding school in Paris. She wouldn't have mind that her parents had sent her away from her best friend, Bridgette, and her totally hot almost boyfriend, Toph, had they given her a choice. Though she feels completely alone and like a total oddball, she is able to come across some cool friends, Meredith, Rashmi, Josh, and not to mention St. Clair. He's totally gorgeous, smart, funny, and has a girlfriend... Will Anna get the French kiss that she is hoping for or will her entire senior year just be a flop? Be sure to pick up your copy of Anna and the French Kiss now!

*ON TO THE SPOILERS*
This book made me grin from ear to ear majority of the time. There were certain things, that being a typical girl, I did not like. The fact that St. Clair was a tad bit shorter than Anna kind of bugged me. I wanted him to be tall and lanky, so, I kept picturing him like that. I don't like the fact that Anna kept saying that her dad was a bad guy, because it was obvious that her dad loved her. St. Clair's dad was a piece of work. But, I did not find it fair that she kept saying he was a bad guy when he really just made some mistakes, but he really showed that he loved her and his family. As for the whole Toph and Bridgette thing, I totally predicted that, because how else was Anna going to be able to admit to herself that she was totally into St. Clair. I don't like that it happened because it would kill me to hear that my best friend hooked up and started dating a guy I liked or my ex-boyfriend. I don't think I could accept it.
I'm really glad that Anna beat up Amanda. She really needed it and it was funny that she kept making threats to Anna after the fact that she just got beaten up by Anna.
One of the characters that kinda scared me was Rashmi. I thought that any word that Anna said, Rashmi would bark at her. But, it wasn't like that. She was actually really sweet when she warmed up to Anna.
Overall, I thought it was a great book. I only wish that they would have gotten into the relationship with St. Clair and Anna sooner, but we will see if they bring them into the second book, which will not get here till Tuesday :( But, I hope you all enjoyed this review. I will be sure to give a more elaborate review on my next book, which is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. If you haven't gotten your copy be sure to do so so that we can all discuss the greatness between those covers!

I'm back!

Recently, I came to the realization that I do not need to be reading books to upload to my book tube. I know what you're thinking, "Kayla, it's called BookTube for a reason." I realized that I made the clarification that my channel was going to have book reviews, TBRs, hauls, movie reviews, trailer reactions(if I can catch them lol), and tv show reviews. It wasn't just all about me reading books and telling you which ones to read and which ones you should skip. Grant it my main focus on book tube is books, but I remembered that this channel is for me to destress from life. I enjoy book tube and I don't need to feel pressured to read a sh*t ton of books like crazy. So, I am back with a fresh start. I went back and watched some of my old videos and I was like "I can do this way better." So I am recreating a different atmosphere on this channel. Really I'm just bringing my spunk on here. I thought I could've done better in those videos. But, we all grow from our past.....hopefully. So here's to the new year and a new and improved channel!
